Founded in 1900, Mútua Terrassa is an entity of social benefit whose mission is to serve the people, anticipating and solving problems related to health, personal autonomy and well-being. Via its foundation Fundació Assistencial de Mútua de Terrassa (in short, FAMT), we provide health care services both at the level of the teaching hospital as well as via nine primary care centres. The Hospital Universitari Mútua Terrassa – HUMT – has a total of 384 beds, its surgery area has 17 operating rooms, being referral centre for up to one million inhabitants in tertiary hospital activities such as Neurosurgery, Thoracic Surgery, Hematology or the Cardiac Hemodynamic Unit. All three Services of HUMT that participate in the project, i.e. Endocrinology, Neurology and Ophthalmology, have an extensive experience undertaking research and conducting clinical trials: The Endocrinology Department has extensive experience in clinical research and multi-center clinical trials. The Neurology Department has long-term experience in basic and clinical research. Our research is supported by both public and industry grants. We are IPs on several investigator initiated studies (IIS) and form part of a broader network in neuroscience and cardiovascular medicine. The Ophthalmology Department has several Retina specialists with a high grade of expertise in diabetic retinopathy and optical coherence tomography angiography.

FAMT will participate in WP1, WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6, WP8, and WP9.
