IDF Europe is an inclusive and multicultural umbrella organization of 69 national diabetes associations in 44 countries across the European region, representing people living with diabetes and healthcare professionals. Through our activities we aim to influence policy, increase public awareness and encourage health improvement, as well as promote the exchange of best practice and high-quality information about diabetes throughout the European region. We provide essential expertise and up-to-date evidence on diabetes, support awareness campaigns through a wide network of partners and stakeholders, and work with European and international organizations towards the development, implementation and monitoring of effective public policies for diabetes.


IDF Europe has a rich experience participating in over 18 EU-funded projects, IMI projects, EU Joint Actions and EU tender, the most recent ones being ManageCare, JA-CHRODIS, Feel4Diabetes, CarpeDiab, OPEN. Our role covers both content provision to different work packages in ethics committees, medical and psychological knowledge in diabetes as well as dissemination and communication of results and interacting with stakeholders. IDF Europe also have access to expertise in fields such as epidemiology and health economics through its mother organization IDF.

IDFE will participate in WP1, WP8 and WP9
